Wiltshire Council more
Wired is the staff magazine for Wiltshire Council. The brief was to create a fresh-looking publication for the new unitary authority, combining light-hearted human interest stories, profiles and news items with more heavyweight ‘corporate’ features. The job involved both designing the publication and editing or rewriting copy supplied via the council’s communications team. These pages are from the first edition of the new magazine, which has been well-received from both a design and a content point of view. See extracts (PDF, 800KB)

Have your say: A guide to influencing adult services in Greenwich – this publication was developed to help people find out exactly how they could have their say in shaping and accessing services in the London borough of Greenwich. Using interviews and photos featuring local people, the brief was to present the information in a clear, understandable, easy-to-read format that complied with Greenwich Council’s guidelines on accessibility and plain English. The booklet was accompanied by a DVD of interviews with the featured service-users, made by a colleague at IPC. See extracts (PDF, 482KB) Oxford Night Shelter more
Oxford Night Shelter annual report – the brief was to produce a printed report as economically as possible, to turn copy from a variety of sources into readable, jargon-free prose and to feature photos of as many staff and clients as could be squeezed in. Spot colour, dozens of pictures and a bold layout give the report a strong identity; using a small local printer keeps the cost well within budget.
